Blog 12/15 — New Mix!

I just recorded another gabber mix! It was honestly kind of half-assed and I'm really worried about burnout now when it comes to djing. I always get this depressing feeling when a hobby starts to feel like burden on me. I probably shouldn't force myself to dj and let it come more naturally. I also found myself getting really frustrated with the mix as well. I tried mixing without beat sync for the first time and I was also using songs I had only heard once or twice which made it a lot harder. I guess the reason that I drop hobbies so often is because I have really high standards for myself and I get frustrated really easy when I don't see results and progress immediately. Anyways, I just got back from my friend's birthday so that was fun and it was a really small thing where I knew everyone which was really nice. On top of that, I recently downloaded cruelty squad after rewatching pyrocynical's video on it which got me into cruelty squad in the first place. It's really fun but just as fucking hard as the first time I started playing. There's this glitch to unlock all stages and get $1m for free but it's still really hard to do. I feel like an absolute pussy in this game because I feel like I'm always using a glitch or something overpowered to get through but then I realize that's kinda the point of the game, using the tools given to you to complete the levels. There's also something so fun about this game that so many other shooters lack and I can't put my finger on it. It's so responsive, the movement is really fun, and it's so unique to have a game not afraid to do whatever it wants.

Other than cruelty squad, I've mainly been playing Nullscape. Still really fun but it's definitely losing it's spark after dozens of runs. I really hope they have a good content update soon because despite the amount of randomness in runs, they still end up feeling pretty samey because you're usually picking the same upgrades and curses. Anyways, I'm also thinking of getting back into GW2 again because jynxi is going to make a video on it and probably give the game an actual sizeable playerbase. I have so many good memories on that game so I really want to revisit it. That's all for now!

Blog 12/12 — Welcome!

First blog post yay! I may try to cram a lot of stuff in here that's happened recently but here it goes. I just started djing 2 months ago, i picked it up relatively quickly I'd say. Now I'm confident enough to do actual gigs probably but even the thought of it is so scary. I djed for the first time for an actual audience at my birthday at my house and it went absolutely awfully. I played lots of genres (dnb, house, hard house, happy hardcore, and gabber) but the crowd seemed to hate every one of them more and more ;-;. If it weren't for meeting L there, I think I actually would've called my first set an absolute failure. L is my really good friend now that I met at the rave. It feels like an absolute coincidence that we met and had so many interests in common!!! We both love electronic music and they actually recognized some of the shit I played which is wild. I pretty much only play random shit I find but the fact they recognized multiple was super impressive. We talked after I finished my 3 HOUR SET! (unpaid btw, though it was my birthday after all)Anyways, we were talking and we kept finding more and more stuff we had in common. I learned that they're the biggest fucking Knifehandchop fan of all time, so much so they influence the entire fucking spotify algorithm. (How that's possible I don't even know)But besides that, they introduced me to their website, which i was just enamoured by. Having one place to express yourself and be creative without being overly marketed like crazy was really intriguing. But yeah that's all for now. There's a lot more catchup work I have to do on here but yeah that's pretty much it.

L I dedicate my first blog post to you for teaching me all about html and website design!
